Family,
I love you so much. I hope you are all having fun, or had
fun in san diego+ las vegas. I was thinking of you as the time came for you to
arrive.
My nerves have calmed a lot. Everyone is so friendly and we
are all so chill. My companion is elder Kincaid. He is a year or 2 older but
that’s because he joined the church a year and half ago. He is super cool. He
is from southern California between SD + LA cant remember. I also live with
elder t +z. They are also really cool.
So first day activities went well. My room was already full
of suitcases, but I moved one and stole a bottom bunk. The other elder didn’t
care later anyway. After my room
gave me mass of books. A ton of German books of all kinds. It was wy cool to
see all of the materials + study aids. I have 2 RMs for my language + gospel
teachers.
Oh so scary here! We teach our first lesson, full german,
alone…..Friday. Crazy. Elder Kincaid and I are freaked. It should be good
though. We are learning so much already and it is awesome.

Dear Family,
This is my third night. Last night I did not have time to
write. Yesterday was way cool and really lomg. We got to meet our branch
presidency and talk to them a little.
Oh! Before I forget our desks have a moveable desk part so
you can get in and out. Elders write on them and today I found”Elder Boren
Missouri St. Louis 2012-2014” lol It was so cool to be sitting in the same seat
as Jaron. I took a picture + will send it.
Yesterday was cool. There is a pine tree here that smells
like cream orange soda. It is really weird. We all smelt it and it really does.
We went on a tour. Learned all about the building. Gym was crazy lots of guys
when you go in the afternoon because its so hot later in the day. I played
volleyball. Turns out my companion Elder Kincaid is a volleyball legend. He was
recruited in college to play but decided not to. Today his skill won us all
four games. Our district vs. another and they were talking crap and we won. We
had gym in the morning today so we played beach volleyball. Really awesome. I
pulled my thigh muscle first game stupid to because, I stretched.
Anyway, today was crazy. We don’t spend a lot of time
actually leaning german. A lot of it is on our own. I am crazy scarred and we
already taught our first lesson to a moch invedtigator. I was really frustrated
after because they said not to worry. Just do your best and you will do good. I
said maybe 10 words and my companion said the rest and for 15 minutes. I was
freaking out and amazed at his skill
not understanding a single
thing. I feel Im memorizing but not understanding and that is a problem. I see
now why they the first week is horrible because there is so much and your in a
whirlwind of craziness. Im worried still but will endure+ keep going. I need to
pray more + keep on going.
OK SO SEND MY LETTERS!!!!!!!!!! Use dearelder.com. I have
yet to get anything and everyone else has 10 letters each and multiple
packages. I know you guys are traceling but come on. I know you love me and all
but im not really feeling it. I need support because im overcome with all of
this and Im not getting any.
Sorry I just going crazy I need to calm down + rest. I am
very tired + frustrated. Don’t get me wrong I love my teachers, district,
companion and all of it, but I don’t know I just need to keep going.
I love you all so much. Post on facebook to send letters via
dear elder because it is fast + easy+ free. Look at the goals comic on the
other page… that’s how I feel right now.
