moin moin!!!
wow what a great week. the week itself was slow but sunday was awesome!!! the work is going great here and we are excited!! so monday we went to FHE with the bergedorf sisters to see if their investigator has real intent or if he is getting baptised and only has interest because he has a crush on sister walker. haha. so funny. but no, he has real intent. he was just acting wierd one day. funny stuff. pres protects his sisters. thats for sure. he gave elder G this assignment to observe mike. funny stuff. tuesday we had a great lesson with a gator who loves us but not to much interest in the gospel. i will explain later about her. but good stuff. she gave us a cake for no reason...awesome!!! we then just doored the rest of the day and tried to go by innactives because we had some fallen out appointments. we had some success in dooring. we found one girl and gae her a BoM.  thats little success but its still some, because last week we didnt get a single new gator. crazy. that night we had another meeting with walter. it went well. nothing new with him. he just wants to invite us over for my birthday and before any of us leave. wednesdaywe had district meetign which went well then i drove the zone leaders down to lüneburg where we all came together (4 sisters and 4 elders) to do district finding. didnt go so well for elder hadfield and i but others had success. it was good. a beautiful day as well. wonderful. later we did some doors and innactives but no success and then we had a great english class, a great ward mission meeting and then bishop came and inspected our apartment. all is gooddid ay we had some more fallen out appointments so more doors and such. but then we had a great joint teach with carol and bishop was there. wonderful to have bishop there. she was asking some interesting questions about garments and marriage and such. well we can answer the garment questions but not the marriage. we were so glad bishop was there. he laid down the law and it was great. and she was very pleased with the answers he gave. they were kind of awkward questions so another reason we were glad bishop was there. we also had a great first lesson with a lady we found a while ago. that was awesome. she told us she wanted to read the entire BoM before we meet again. uggggg. so she told us 3 weeks. we will go by her next week anyway and see if we can meet. we then had a great lesson with an innactive and that was our day. friday we had doors in the morning and then  we had a great member lesson followed by a planned joint teach...which fell out. so we visited his recently deceased mother because the cemetary is far away and we have a car. then we all drove to a members house to have our ward BBQ\party. it was awesome. and carol showed up!!!!! so awesome. problem was...the kids love us BTW. lol. so we played tons of sports. and then when we were eating all the kids wouldnt stop pestering us to ask when we would be done eating. so funny. anyway. during sport we were playing soccer and i was goalie. well i lunged to far to the left and heard a rip. yup. ripped my pants. and it was a major one to. my favorite pants. the black ones mom  sent me in the MTC. the best most sturdy pants jsut ripped. those pants were so strong that not the seem but the fabric actually ripped. i was really sad. so elder g and i ran home and changed pants real quick and came back LOL. what a great afternoon. we loved it. saturday we had weekly planning and just tons of doors. we found one girl who was nice and we gave her a BoM. at the same time doing that street we had two boys chasing us and hiding behind cars to stalk us. wierd stuff. so i confronted them (nicely) and they were so funny. they hid behind a car and so i walked behind it and asked what they were doing " nah...was machts ihr?" they had the funnist come back. we are looking at the floor of this car. soooo funny. oh man. they left us alone after that, but then at the end of the street as we were done, the older one came up and asked us what we were doing and who we are. we explained and for a 13 year old kid he was way knowledgable about the gospel and religion. he read the "abfall von glauben" the great apostasy section in the pamphlet we gae him and he was like " nah klar" no duh, that makes sense. of course there was an apostasy...we were amazed lol. he rejected us in the end but it was just so funny. sunday was great. we had carol show up to church and she brought two of her grandkids with. awesome! turns out some of the kids in the ward know them. it was great. we also had an innactive family show up to church. the whole ward thought they were investigators becuase they have never come to church. to funny. i bore my testimony and it was great. after church we had a great eating appointment with members and then two hours after that we had another eating appointment with a gaotr of ours. LOL. we were able to survive. i didnt eat to much b the members to be able to eat more at the gators house. to funny. we had loads of fun. the gator is sonja, the one we met with earlier that week. she is so funny. she doesnt want either of us to go. actually all of our gators know the end of the transfer is coming and dont want either of us to go. they keep setting up eating appointments so that they can see us one more time before we go. funny thing is is that its not guarenteed that anyone will go. just our luck will be that both of us stay one more. haha.

so its been funny lately. according to the scale im the same size and same weight. and im not happy about it because im working hard everymorning to run a lot and eat less. so its not making me happy. but then pres complimented me on how good i looked and socomplimented me. she told me i got smaller some how, haha. funny comment but a comment nonetheless. so aparently im smaller but not according to the scale. im not happy with it. but if i keep it up for the next year and a bit then by the time i get home you wqont recognize me!!! haha. thats my goal. show up home all skinny and in a fancy german suit and i wont be the same. missionaries work on their 6 months to sexy. nah, i got to work on my 14 months to sexy. HAHA.

love you all and i cant wait to talk to you next week. oh and hi shelby!!!! haha. i got your email from sis sykes. she is sitting to my left right now reading your email :)

Hello!
wow this week has been long. it feels like last transfer we ahd interviews with president and yet that was just this last wednesday. crazy.
so this week, monday was fun. we had FHE in hamburg with an investigator and we had a blast. we played tons of hockey and i didnt get hurt this time haha. tuesday we did emails and i emailed you all back :) then we went shopping and the rest of the day was a really lazy day. we doored and went by contacts but no luck there. then we had an eating appointment which was loads of fun and that was our day. wednesday we went to hamburg for zone training meeting. no zone sport before but all is good. the lessons were really good. my interview with pres was great. he was jsut so amazed at how much i have changed. he kept saying it over and over again and then as i was leaving the room he kept saying to himself " he has changed so much! elder ustach...changed so much! incredible!" lol. pres is so funny.  I got a letter from bro galler and that was it from the zo-co post. the res tof wednesday we did doors and more doors. no luck their either. btw, this whole week was rain and cold. so all these doors everyday were in rain. :) thursday we had a great lesson with an investigator who normally asks so many questions and talks to much we cant get a word in edge wise, but for some reason on thursdayhe sat quietly and listened to us as we explaiend the gospel of jesus christ and ow we need to follow christ. he listened and at the end he sat there and was silent. then he told us it made sense to him. he didnt want to be baptised but its progress. he is planning on coming to church the 2nd of june. also major progress. after him we went to another appointment with our friend carol. the woman from rewe. she is awesome! she reads so much, and not just the book of mormon. she reads in the gospel principles book that she got from church. she has read every pamphlet we have given her. she searches online for you tube videos and other thigns to watch and read. crazy. she listens to mormon tabernacle choir every night as she goes to bed even! members dont even do that. she has searched so much however she find false things but she knows to come to us if something sounds fishy and we clear it all up. she found an article on garmnets and so we had a discussion about that. little awkward but its all good. haha. anyway we had a great lesson on prohpets with her and its all good. after carol we went by some contacts and did some doors but no go with any of them. we then went to play volleyball witht he young men in our ward. that was fun. its started to rain though so we had to end early. bummer. friday we timed our mile run. normally everyday, rain or shine, we run in the morning and i have been working on getting my time down. elder G can run a mile in almost 5 minutes so he ahs no problem. but me, well ya. so he ran it really slow in 5:50. slow poke...gosh. i ran mine in 8:27. i was so proud. i had never ran a mile in under 10 minutes before my mission. in the MTC i ran it in 9:09 i think and then on friday i for under 8:30! woohoo!!! now my goal in8:15. we shall see how that goes. stupid thing is i dont lose weight. im replacing all my fat with muscle and so according to the scale im the same as always...uggg. whatever. so friday we went and doored int he morning, no luck. then we doored after lunch,....no luck. then we had an appointment with walter. our old german friend. well that was an interesting appointment. normally he is jsut super frustarating and he dont get anywhere with him. but today we were bold....really bold. we were even a little mean at times but he needed it. and we finally got an answer to why he wont get baptised!!!!! well kind of. normally our lessons ar like running in a circle. round and round and round we go on the same topic. well this time there was a block in our circle that we kept running into. we ran in one direction and ran into it. we ran in another and ran into it again. finally he told us he is afraid of himself...sorry. no explanation because even we arent sure. i would write an entire essay on what i think goes on in walters head. anyway we made progress with him. problem is, with this new info we have about him, we wont be visiting him so often. we arent giving up on him but we wont be going by so often. yes confusing and maybe you think we are being lazy and bad missionaries for not teaching this man, but if you want the full explanation get ready for to much info that doesnt make sense. LOL. after walter we visited an innactive br schmitz which went really well. his dog is not dead...another long story. then we had german and that was fridaysaturday we were supposed to do service but it was raining...again and so it got canceled. we cleaned and did doors again. no success. then we did more doors. then some more doors. all in the rain :) we tried to go by contacts but also no go with them. so in the afternoon we had a good appointment with our ward secretary and we found tons of innactives to visit the next couple weeks. loads of fun. sunday was good. carol showed up to church and she had a horrible saturday and didnt want to wake up but she ahd the weird feeling she had to go, then in relief society she had an amazing lesson and she said that is why she came to church and why she got out of bed. amazing. so many people would make so much more pregress if they freakin came to church! after church we had a great eating app with bishop and then weekly planning. today the internet cafe was closed and then the power at the church was out...ugggg. so we drove to bergedorf to find another internet cafe and thats where we are now. today we plan on visiting the concentration camp here in bergedorf. its raining and overcast today so perfect for the place we are going. woohoo.

mom-can you send me a recipe for sopapiahas. the yummy mexican dough thing they serve with honey. those things. we will be brave and try to make them. we have a sisters (walker) who is good with these kind of things and we want to make them.
dad-how much did i get for my tax return if any?
nick- not sure if you read these or not, but hopefully next week i have a referal for you. one of the sisters in my district lives where you serve.
